1 | Remove bell hub (3) with outer planet carrier (1) | ||
2 | Mark installation position of outer planet carrier (1) with respect to bell hub (3) | ||
3 | Unscrew fitted collar bolts (4) from bell hub (3) | ||
4 | Detach outer planet carrier (1) from bell hub (3) | To do so, drive the bearing pins (10) out of the bell hub (3) evenly using a suitable drift. Secure the outer planet carrier (1) to prevent it from falling down. | |
5 | Remove outer thrust plates (5) from planetary gears (6) | ||
6 | Remove planetary gears (6) from bearing pins (10) | Pay attention to loose bearing needles (7) and intermediate rings (8). | |
7 | Remove inner thrust plates (9) and thrust washer (2) from outer planet carrier (1) | ||
8 | Remove bearing pins (10) from outer planet carrier (1) | ||

9 | Drive bearing pins (10) into outer planet carrier (1) | The oil holes of the bearing bolts (10) must point outwards. | |
10 | Install thrust washer (2) in outer planet carrier (1) | ||
11 | Push inner thrust plates (9) onto bearing pins (10) | The lubrication grooves of the inner thrust plates (9) must face the planetary gear (6) after assembly. Align the inner thrust plates (9) in such a way that they lie against the pressure plate (2) so that it prevents them from twisting. | |
12 | Place the planet gears (6) centrally on the bearing pins (10) | The planetary gears (6) and bearing pins (10) are color-coded. Only parts with the same color coding may be installed together. | |
13 | Grease bearing needles (7) and intermediate rings (8) and insert into planetary gears (6) | Insert the inner bearing needles (7) first, then the intermediate rings (8) and then the outer bearing needles (7). When doing so, guide the bearing needles (7) using a scriber. | |
14 | Fit outer thrust plates (5) on planetary gears (6) | The lubrication grooves must point toward the planetary gears (6). | |
15 | Place bell hub (3) on outer planet carrier (1) and drive in evenly | Pay attention to marking. Make sure that the outer thrust plates (5) are seated correctly in the bell hub (3). | |
16 | Secure bell hub (3) using new fitted collar bolts (4) | After tightening, secure the fitted collar bolts (4) with a center punch mark. | |
