Remove/install



The damper must be installed to remove the upper transverse control arm

 Installation

Replace self-locking nuts and bolts.

Unscrew nut (6c)



Screw thrust piece (043a) onto the ball stud of the upper ball joint



Press upper ball joint out of upper transverse control arm (6) using puller (043)



 Clean conical joint.

Secure steering knuckle with a wire (arrow) on damper to prevent it from falling away

 Do not stretch the brake hose and cables.

Detach left upper transverse control arm from frame

 Tighten nut in ready-to-drive condition.



Detach right upper transverse control arm from frame

 Tighten nut in ready-to-drive condition.

Remove front axle sensor of headlamp range adjustment
