Draining | |||
1 | Connect diagnostic system.
| |||
2 | Move front wheels to straight-ahead position.
3 | Lift vehicle with vehicle lift.
4 | Remove trim on rear left and right transverse control arm. | If hydraulic pressure lines of electrohydraulic suspension on rear axle are emptied.
5 | Remove cover caps (1) of shutoff valves (3, 4).
6 | Remove dust caps (2) of connection fittings (5, 6) completely.
7 | Drain the hydraulic pressure lines of the electrohydraulic suspension using guided diagnosis.

It is only by closing the shutoff valves (3, 4) that hydraulic pressure in the shock absorber (7) is maintained. It is not possible to fill the shock absorbers (7).
Shutoff valve to shock absorber
If the hydraulic pressure cannot be reduced using the diagnostic system:
| |||
Reduce hydraulic pressure manually.
Manually release pressure in hydraulic system of electrohydraulic suspension with intact shutoff valve
Shutoff valve to shock absorber
If shutoff valves (3, 4) on shock absorber (7) cannot be closed,
| |||
Release hydraulic pressure in hydraulic lines and replace shock absorbers (7).
Manually release pressure in hydraulic system of electrohydraulic suspension with defective shutoff valve
Remove/install the suspension strut
Remove/install rear shock absorber
If connection fittings (5, 6) are damaged,
| |||
replace connection fittings (5, 6).
