| Remove/install | ||
1 | Place the vehicle on a level, flat location. Chock the front wheels to avoid the accidental displacement of the vehicle | On laden vehicles, greater care is required during the works. | |
2 | Disconnect the negative battery cable or turn off the main switch | Loosen the screw from the negative cable on the stringer to prevent the battery terminals from getting loose. | |
Do not lift the vehicle by the axle center to avoid serious axle damage. | |||
Excessive strokes may damage the dampers. | |||
3 | Remove the self-locking nuts (5), the top and bottom mounting bolts (6) and then, remove the shock absorber (1) | If necessary, replacing the front dampers always in pairs on the same axle is advisable. | |
Installation: Apply new self-locking nuts and tighten them to the specified torque. | |||

4 | Remove the mounts and with the bushings from the shock absorber (1) eyelets | Installation: To install the mounts and bushings, lubricate them with a thin layer of petroleum jelly and use a press. | |

Replace the shock absorbers (1) in cases of: | |||

- Signs of leaks. | |||
6 | Install the shock absorbers (1) in reverse order | ||
7 | Run a test drive | Check the vehicle's behavior. |
