| Remove | ||
1 | Disconnect shock absorber (3) from front axle | ||
2 | Remove bolts (7) from axle strut (6) | ||
3 | Use inspection pit lift or floor jack to raise frame until the spring (1) is relieved and no longer rests on the front axle | ||
4 | Counterhold nut (5), remove bolt (4) and place suspension travel limiter (2) into spring (1) | ||
5 | Remove spring (1) and suspension travel limiter (2) | ||
| Install | ||
6 | Mount spring (1) and suspension travel limiter (2) at top onto spring bracket, and screw in bolt (4) with 4-5 thread turns into the nut (5) | Align suspension travel limiter (2) so that access is given to the nut (5). | |
7 | Lower frame until the bolts (7) of the axle strut (6) and the bolt on the shock absorber (3) can be positioned | ||
8 | Position bolts (7) and bolt of shock absorber (3) | ||
9 | Lower frame completely | ||
10 | Counterhold nut (5) and tighten bolt (4) | Bolt, coil spring and suspension travel limiter to spring bracket | |
11 | Tighten bolts (7) of axle strut (6) | Bolt, axle strut to bearing bracket for articulated rod | |
12 | Tighten bolt on shock absorber (3) | Nut/bolt, shock absorber to front axle |
