4 | Press down adjusting knob (2) for cable adjusters as far as the stop | If the cable half was not separated at the separation point in the engine compartment, the adjusting spring on the adjusting knob must be preloaded. To do this, press the adjusting knob (2) and push the cable adjusters together. | |
5 | Check function | It must only be possible to move the selector lever out of position "P" when the ignition lock is in position "2" and the brake pedal is depressed. It must only be possible to withdraw the ignition key when the selector lever is in position "P" and the brake pedal is not depressed. If these functions are not satisfied, repeat the adjustment procedure. | |
6 | Perform road test and then press down the adjusting knob again |
