30.5.07 | Kerosene cleaning agent replaced by automatic transmission fluids (ATF, specification 236.12) for the flushing process. | Operation step 6 |
| Remove/install | ||
Danger! | Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running | Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.
| Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts | ||
| Before opening the hydraulic system, thoroughly clean the area surrounding the separation point. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system | ||
1.1 | Remove bottom section of soundproofing | Vehicles with diesel engine
1.2 | Remove bottom engine compartment paneling | Vehicles with gasoline engine
2 | Remove drain plug from the transmission oil pan and drain transmission oil
3 | Remove bolts (5, 6) of oil cooling lines (7, 8)
4 | Detach bracket of oil cooling lines (7, 8) on right and left of engine oil pan
5 | Detach oil cooling lines (7, 8) from transmission | Do not kink or bend oil cooling lines (7, 8) otherwise damage will occur.
