Attach hand pump (2) to container (3).

 Observe connection direction for extracting or flushing oil (A, B).

Clean area surrounding connections for oil cooler feed oil line (5) and oil cooler return oil line (6) on automatic transmission.


Dirt particles must not enter the hydraulic system.
Otherwise, the hydraulic system may malfunction and fail.

Remove plug of filler pipe.

Attach plastic hose to connection fitting (1) and slide through filler pipe all the way down into oil pan.

Operate hand pump (2).

 Extracted oil flows into the container (3).

Attach hand pump (2) to container (3).

 Observe connection direction for extracting or flushing oil (A, B).

Fill container (3) with transmission oil.



Raise vehicle.

Remove oil cooler feed oil line (5) and oil cooler return oil line (6) from automatic transmission.

 Collect escaping transmission oil using rags.

Seal openings on automatic transmission using suitable stop plugs.

Plug plastic hose onto connection fitting (1) and attach to oil cooler feed oil line (5) or oil cooler return oil line (6) using corresponding connector (4).

 If necessary, secure plastic hose on connection fitting (1) using a hose clamp.

Attach a second plastic hose with corresponding connector (4) to oil cooler return oil line (6) or oil cooler feed oil line (5).

Operate hand pump (2) and flush through oil cooler feed oil line (5), oil cooler and oil cooler return oil line (6) with transmission oil.

 In the event of severe contamination, change the transmission oil several times.

 Collect transmission oil which flows out in a suitable container and ensure that the transmission oil flows freely.

Remove plastic hose from connection fitting (1).

Detach hand pump (2).

Remove all connectors (4) from oil cooler feed oil line (5) and oil cooler return oil line (6).



Install

Attach oil cooler feed oil line (5) and oil cooler return oil line (6) to automatic transmission.

 Replace seals.

18

Check and correct oil level in automatic transmission.
