Ensure that both ends of the snap ring (10) sit on the gearing of the external plate carrier (1).
The disks must be placed in ATF for at least an hour before the measurement is carried out so that the friction lining can swell up.
1 Insert K2 multi-disk clutch into lever press.
2 Fit thrust device (078) onto externally toothed plate of K2 multi-disk clutch.
3 Press together K2 multi-disk clutch using lever press.
The marking ring (lower arrow) indicates the required pressing force. The disks and plate support will be damaged if the pressing force is exceeded.
4 Measure the clearance between the snap ring (10) and externally toothed plate at three places using the feeler gauge .

5 Adjust to the required clearance by installing a snap ring (10) of the appropriate thickness.
