Dismantling and assembling clutch K2

Dismantling

Remove snap ring (11) from outer multiple-disc carrier (1)

Take multiple-disc package (6, 8 and 10) completely out of outer multiple-disc carrier (1)

 Check inner multiple discs for scorch marks and wear

Place new inner multiple discs in transmission fluid for approximately 1 hour before installing

Mount mounting device (020) on the spring plate (4), clamp and remove snap ring (5)



Remove spring plate (4) and compression springs (3)

 Note number of compression springs. Do not mix up springs from clutches K1 and K2

Pull piston (2) out of outer multiple-disc carrier (1)

Remove lip seals (12/13) from piston



Assembling

Install piston (2) in outer multiple-disc carrier (1)

Install spring plate (4) and compression springs (3)

Install mounting device (020) on the spring plate (4), clamp and remove snap ring (5)

 Check for correct seating



Insert multiple-disc package (6, 8 and 10) in outer multiple-disc carrier (1)

Insert snap ring (11)



Measuring

Determine clearance "A" using a feeler gauge

 Adjust the clearance if necessary using the snap ring (11).

The snap ring is available as a spare part in thicknesses, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 mm.

Only if the specified clearance "A" is not achieved with the snap ring, must an adjustment also be made with inner multiple discs

Inner multiple discs are available as spare parts in thicknesses, 4.5 and 5.0 mm
