Remove transmission housing from torque converter housing

Disassemble

Disassemble the transmission into its main components

Disassemble output shaft with center and rear gear set

Remove snap ring (1) from external plate carrier (10)

Remove clutch pack K3 (B) and disk spring (5)

 Check the disks for scorch marks and wear; replace if necessary.

Remove retaining ring (6), spring cup (7) and piston (8)

 Clamp spring cup (7) using  _assembly device until the retaining ring (6) is exposed.

 Assembly device

Assemble

Check sealing ring (9) and replace, if necessary

 The rounded edges of the sealing ring (9) must face outwards.

Install piston (8)

Install spring cup (7)

 The cone must face towards the output side.

Install retaining ring (6)

 The collar must face towards the output side.

Insert and measure clutch pack K3 (A)
