Remove

Remove main components of transmission

Disassemble

Remove retaining ring (105s) and end disk (105)

Remove clutch pack (5) and disk spring (5t)



Check

Check clutch pack (5) for scorch marks and wear.

Depending on findings



Replace affected disks

Place external plate carrier (15a) into lever-type hand press

 Commercially available devices/tools
Lever-type hand gun

Place thrust device on disk spring (15t)

 Position the thrust device precisely to enable the retaining ring (15s) to be removed later.

Actuate lever-type hand press until retaining ring (15s) is exposed


Stop lever press stroke as soon as accessibility is sufficient.
Excess force can cause damage.

Remove retaining ring (15s) from groove

Reset lever press

Remove device and external plate carrier (15a) from lever-type hand press

Detach retaining ring (15s)

Remove disk spring (15t)

Remove piston (15k) from external plate carrier (15a)



Check

Check piston (15k) and vulcanized seal for damage

Depending on findings



Replace piston (15k).

Check external plate carrier (15a) for damage



Assemble

Install piston (15k) into external plate carrier (15a)

Install disk spring (15t)

Fit retaining ring (15s)

Place external plate carrier (15a) into lever-type hand press

Place thrust device on disk spring (15t)



Install retaining ring (15s)


Check for correct installation position of retaining ring (15s).
Otherwise the disk spring (5t) will jam.

Reset lever press

Remove device and external plate carrier (15a) from lever-type hand press

Install disk spring (5t) and clutch pack (5) into external plate carrier (15a)

 Insert disk spring (5t) in such a way that curvature of the inner circumference points toward the piston (15k).

Install end disk (105).

Install retaining ring (105s)



Measure

Measure and adjust clearance
