1 Put together externally toothed plates (6, 8) and internally toothed plates (7) in the sequence shown and insert individually.
Place new externally toothed plates and internally toothed plates in ATF oil 1 h before installation.
The lining side of the externally toothed plates and internally toothed plates must face upwards (output side).

2 Install circlip (9).
Both ends of circlip (9) must be on a lug of the external plate carrier (1) (arrows).
3 Press the pressure device onto the externally toothed plate (8) until the marking ring (lower arrow) is just still visible.
4 Using a feeler gauge, check the toothed plate play (L) at three points between the circlip (9) and externally toothed plate (8).
The circlip (9) must abut at the top of the groove in the external plate carrier (1).
If necessary, adjust the toothed plate play (L) by installing a circlip (9) of corresponding thickness.
