Remove

1

Remove propeller shaft of front axle differential.

Remove shift cable (8) from ball head (2.1).

Clean transmission housing (1) in area of gearshift shaft (2) and radial shaft sealing ring (7).

Assembly cleaner

Remove oil pan (9).

Remove oil filter.



Remove screw (5).

Remove spring element (6).

Remove clamp screw (4).

Remove gearshift shaft (2).

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (7) using suitable tool.


Do not damage contact surface in the transmission housing (1).
Otherwise leaks may occur.



Check

Check gearshift shaft (2) for galling and damage.

If galling or damage is visible.



Replace gearshift shaft (2).



Install

Install radial shaft sealing ring (7) using drift (01) in transmission housing (1) up to end stop.


Check radial shaft sealing ring (7) is correctly seated in transmission housing (1).
Otherwise leaks may occur.

If the radial shaft sealing ring (7) is not correctly seated in the transmission housing (1).



Correct seating of radial shaft sealing ring (7).

Install gearshift shaft (2).

 Check for correct position of gearshift shaft (2) in detent plate (3).

Screw in clamp screw (4).

 Clamp bolt of shift shaft to detent plate

Install spring element (6).

Screw in screw (5).

 Screw/bolt of detent plate spring element to electrohydraulic controller unit

Grease ball head (2.1).

Long-life grease

Install shift cable (8) at ball head (2.1).

Install new oil filter.


