1 Press the race/deep-groove ball bearing (67) into the rear transmission cover using a suitable drift.
2 Install locking ring (68).
Ensure that the locking ring (68) is seated correctly in the groove.
3 Using a feeler gauge check if there is any clearance between the locking ring (68) and race/deep-groove ball bearing (67).
There should be no clearance between locking ring (68) and race/deep-groove ball bearing (67).
If it is not possible to insert the locking ring, a thinner locking must be used. If there is clearance between the locking ring and race/deep-groove ball bearing, a thicker locking ring must be inserted.
Locking rings (68) are available as a spare part in thicknesses, 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 mm.
