1 Remove circlip (2).
2 Slacken both grub screws (6) at notch lever (1) and pull off notch lever (1).
Remove springs (3, 4) and index bolt (5) from notch lever (1).
Heat grub screws (6). The index bolt (5) is spring-loaded.
Assembly: Coat the index bolt (5) with long-life grease. The positions of the grub screws (6) must match the countersinks in the shift hub. Secure grub screws (6) with Loctite locking agent.

3 Pull gearshift tube (12) out of shift cover (13).
4 Remove circlip (8)
The circlip (8) is spring-loaded.
5 Remove washers (9, 11) and spring (10) from gearshift tube (12).

6 Remove radial shaft seal (14) using suitable tool
Assembly: Drive in radial shaft sealing ring (14) as far as the stop using a suitable drift and coat sealing lips with long-life grease.
7 Use countersupport (17) and internal extractor (16) to remove needle roller bearing (15).
Assembly: Drive in needle roller bearing (15) as far as the stop using a suitable drift and coat with long-life grease.

8 Remove bolt (19) and remove detent segment (20) from bearing cap (13).
Carefully lever detent segment (20) out of roll pins.
Assembly: Observe installation position of detent segment (20). Install bolt (19) with Loctite locking agent.
Replace sealing rings (21).
9 Assemble in the reverse order.
