Remove retaining ring (4)

Remove countershaft twin gear (5)

Remove countershaft gear (6) with pulse wheel (6.1)



Assemble

 Warning

Risk of injury. Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.

Heat countershaft gear (6) with pulse wheel (6.1) to max. 180 °C and slide on

 Immediately after sliding it on, readjust the countershaft gear (6) with pulse wheel (6.1) with zero axial clearance using a workshop press.

Heat countershaft twin gear (5) to max. 180 °C and slide on

 Immediately after sliding on, readjust the countershaft twin gear (5) with zero axial clearance using a workshop press.

Install retainer ring (4)

Heat tapered roller bearing (3) to max. 80 °C and slide on

 Set inner race of tapered roller bearing (3) with zero clearance.

Heat bearing (2) to max. 80 °C and slide on

Install countershaft (1)
