Disassemble

Disassemble transmission.

Remove tapered roller bearing (2).

 Hand pump

Remove tapered roller bearing (3).

 Hand pump

Remove circlip (4).

Remove countershaft twin gear (5).

Countershaft gear (6) with pulse wheel (6.1).



Assemble

Heat countershaft gear (6) with pulse wheel (6.1) to max. 180 °C and install.

 Immediately after installation, adjust countershaft gear (6) for zero axial play using a workshop press.

Heat countershaft twin gear (5) to max. 180 °C and install.

 Immediately after installation, adjust countershaft twin gear (5) for zero axial play using a workshop press.

Install retaining ring (4).

Heat tapered roller bearing (3) to max. 80 °C and install.

 Set inner race of tapered roller bearing (3) with zero clearance.

Heat tapered roller bearing (2) to max. 80 °C and install.

 Readjust inner race of tapered roller bearing (2) with zero clearance.

12

Assemble transmission.
