1 Clamp the tapered roller bearing (2) securely to the housing of the power take-off (3) with the clamping strips (1).

2 Heat up tapered roller bearing (1) to approx. 80 °C and install.

3 Attach dial indicator (1) with dial indicator holder (2) and position dial indicator (1) on "Zero".
4 Lift up output gear using two levers and read off the value on the dial indicator (1).
The shim required may be up to 0.05 mm larger or up to 0.03 mm smaller than the value read off.
