1 Install intermediate gear with the collar toward the transmission side.

Install the shaft of the intermediate gear (3) without O-ring, shim and centering ball as far as the end stop.

2 Mount the dial indicator (1) with dial indicator holder (2) on the face of the power take-off.

3 Measure the distance from the face of the power take-off to the shaft of the intermediate gear (3).

The shim required must be smaller than the measured distance by the axial play of the intermediate gear specified in the table.
