| Grind off bearing inner race using a suitable tool (e.g. an angle grinder) until longitudinal cracks can be seen in bearing inner race.
|
|
| Check the progress of the grinding process repeatedly.
Otherwise the shaft could be damaged.

| Loosen bearing inner race from shaft using a flat chisel and remove.
|

| Check condition of shaft.
|
|
| If ridging is present,
|
|
|
|
|
| Remove ridges from shaft.
|
Install
4
| Heat new bearing inner race to approx. 80 °C and push onto shaft until it makes contact, then set up to end stop using a suitable drift.
