Disassemble |
1 | Detach cluster gear (9) using a three-arm puller from the intermediate shaft (15). |
Place matching thrust piece onto intermediate shaft (15). |
A screw M10 with matching deep socket can be used as the thrust piece. |
W26.45-1100-02
2 | Remove tapered roller bearing (8) from cluster gear (9). |
3 | Remove the spacer ring (12) and shim (13) from intermediate shaft (15). |
W26.45-1113-02
4 | Detach tapered roller bearing (14) from intermediate shaft (15) using suitable thrust piece. |
The following special tools are required for this: Hand pump, hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic hose (assembly), adapter, adapter, adapter, gripper |
W26.45-1383-06
5 | Remove tapered roller bearing outer race (14.1) from cluster gear (9) using the internal extractor and the counter stay. |
W26.45-1103-01
6 | Remove spacer ring (11) and retaining ring (10) from the cluster gear (9). |
W26.45-1104-01
7 | Remove tapered roller bearing outer race (8.1) from the cluster gear (9) using the internal extractor and the counter stay. |
W26.45-1105-01
Assembly |
8 | Install circlip (10) in cluster gear (9). |
W26.45-1106-01
9 | Insert spacer ring (11). |
10 | Using a suitable drift, drive the tapered roller bearing outer race (14.1) in as far as the stop in the cluster gear (9). |
W26.45-1108-01
11 | Rotate cluster gear (9) and drive in tapered roller bearing outer race (8.1) using suitable drift up to end stop in cluster gear (9). |
W26.45-1107-01
12 | Insert tapered roller bearings (8, 14) into tapered roller bearing outer races (8.1, 14.1) and readjust. |
Readjust tapered roller bearings (8, 14) in cluster gear (9) using a press with max. 1 t. |
W26.45-1109-01
13 | Use vernier caliper to measure from cluster gear (9) to tapered roller bearing (14) and set vernier caliper to 0. |
14 | Use the vernier caliper to measure from the cluster gear (9) to the contact surface of the tapered roller bearing (8) = dimension (A). |
15 | Remove tapered roller bearings (8, 14) from the cluster gear (9). |
W26.45-1384-06
16 | Put the tapered roller bearings (8, 14), spacer ring (12) and shim (13) on top of each other. |
17 | Use vernier caliper to measure height of both tapered roller bearings (8, 14) with spacer ring (12) and shim (13) = dimension (B). |
18 | Determine axial play. Dimension (B) must be greater than dimension (A) by the end play specified in the table. |
Compensate for any deviations by installing an appropriate shim (13). The end play should be in the region of the lowest tolerance limit. |
W26.45-1385-06
19 | Heat up tapered roller bearing (14) to approx. 80 °C. |
20 | Mount heated tapered roller bearing (14) on intermediate shaft (15) and reposition up to the stop using a suitable drift. |
21 | Let tapered roller bearing (14) cool down and then lubricate. |
W26.45-1112-01
22 | Fit determined shim (13), spacer ring (12) and cluster gear (9) onto intermediate shaft (15). |
Observe installation position of cluster gear (9). |
23 | Heat up tapered roller bearing (8) to approx. 80 °C. |
24 | Mount heated tapered roller bearing (8) on intermediate shaft (15) and reposition up to the stop using a suitable drift. |
25 | Let tapered roller bearing (8) cool down and then lubricate. |
26 | Check cluster gear (9) for ease of movement. |
If the cluster gear (9) moves sluggishly. | |
| |
Disassemble cluster gear (9) again and then assemble again. |
