3 | Remove driver (39) and gearwheel (40) from drive shaft (43). |

4 | Remove needle bearings (41, 42) from drive shaft (43). |
5 | Check contact surfaces of needle bearings (41, 42) at drive shaft (43); if necessary, replace drive shaft (43). |

6 | Mount needle roller bearings (41, 42) onto drive shaft (43). |
7 | Mount gearwheel (40) and driver (39) onto drive shaft (43). |
8 | Install retaining ring (23) at drive shaft (43). |

9 | Insert ball bearing (24) between driver (39) and retaining ring (23). |
10 | Using the feeler gauge, determine dimension between the ball bearing (24) and the retaining ring (23). |
The shim to be installed must be smaller by the specified value for the axial play than the determined dimension. The end play should be in the region of the lowest tolerance limit. |
11 | Remove retaining ring (23) of drive shaft (43). |

Observe installation position of round toothing (A). |
