Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Deburr repair panels.

Remove/install

Remove central clutch release bearing (1).

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (2).


Do not damage the seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (2).
Otherwise, leaks can occur on the radial shaft sealing ring (2).

 To do so, use suitable tool to pry off radial shaft sealing ring (2) from transmission housing (2).

 Installation: Clean seat of radial shaft sealing ring (2).
Use lint-free cleaning cloths when cleaning. Chamois leathers are the most suitable.

 Installation: Replace radial shaft sealing ring (2).
Coat radial shaft sealing ring (2) between sealing lips with a little multi-purpose paste.
