1 | Remove the gearbox | ||
2 | Secure the gearbox to the mounting support | ||
3 | Remove the retarder from the gearbox | ||
4 | Remove gearbox rear cover | ||
5 | Remove the reverse gear intermediate gear wheel shaft | ||

6 | Remove the oil pump and the pressure limiting valve | ||
7 | Remove the reversing light switch (1) | ||
8 | Remove the articulation pins (3) from the selector control forks | ||
9 | Unscrew the bolts attaching the rear part (4) to the front part (2) of the gearbox | ||
10 | Support the rear part of the gearbox (4) with a winch or tackle | ||
11 | Separate the rear part (4) from the front part (2) and suspend it | To obtain better countershaft freedom the reverse gear intermediate gear must be pressed outward while the rear part is being lifted. To facilitate the releasing of the guide pins lightly strike the rear part while it is being suspended. Should the oil pipe remain stuck in the rear part, remove it carefully utilizing a suitable driver | |

13 | Install the reverse gear intermediate gear wheel | ||

14 | Fit the rear part of the gearbox (4) on the front part (2) | Apply sealant to the contact surfaces between the rear and front parts. To obtain better countershaft freedom the reverse gear intermediate gear wheel must be pressed slightly outward while the rear part is being fitted. Guide the oil pipe with a small screwdriver while the rear part is being fitted. The countershaft bearing rollers must be positioned exactly in the void of the reverse gear intermediate gear wheel while the rear part is being fitted | |
15 | Release and remove the winch or tackle from the rear part (4) | ||
16 | Screw on bolts on both parts. | The microencapsulated bolts must be replaced | |

17 | Install the articulation pins (3) of the selector control forks | Replace the pins (if fitted with micro encapsulated thread) or apply chemical lock | |

18 | Install the reversing light switch (1) | | |
19 | Install the reverse gear intermediate gear wheel shaft | ||

20 | Install the oil pump and the pressure limiting valve | ||
21 | Install gearbox rear cover | ||
22 | Install the retarder at the gearbox | ||
23 | Remove the gearbox from the mounting support | ||
24 | Install the gearbox |
