Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Remove air filter housing

Remove coolant hoses from fan cowl (4)

Remove top cover from fan cowl (4)

 To do this, remove expansion rivet (3) from fan shroud (4).

 Installation: Check expansion rivet (3); replace as required.

Remove viscous fan clutch (8) with open end wrench (9) and counterholder (6) from belt drive (7)

 Place counterholder (6) on screw/bolt (5), unfasten viscous fan clutch (8) clockwise and remove.

Remove front lower engine compartment paneling

Unclip automatic transmission oil cooling system feed line from bottom at fan shroud (4)

ENGINE 642.9

Remove fan with fan shroud (4) upwards


Do not store the fan recumbent.
Thus avoids damage to the viscous fan clutch (8).

Install in the reverse order
