Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

Remove engine air intake duct (2a).

Remove cold air intake (2b).

Remove insert fasteners (2c).

Remove screws (2d, 2e, 2f, 2g, 2i).

 Bolt, lock striker to cross member/front-module carrier

 Bolt, strut to cross member

Drill out rivets (2j).

 Installation: Replace rivets (2j).

 Commercially available devices/tools
drill
riveter

 Remove drilling chips.

Remove left and right supports (2k).

Remove crossmember (2h).

Release and disconnect electrical connector from fan unit(1).

Remove holder (7) from fan unit (1).

Unclip coolant line(8) from fan unit(1).

Unclip top cold air guide from fan unit (1).

Unclip fan unit (1) from cooler mounts and remove upward.

14

Install in the reverse order.
