1 | Tilt the engine hood. | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury in the skin or eyes due to burns caused by the steam or overheated coolant. Risk of poisoning due to ingestion of coolant | Open the cooling system only when the temperature is below 90 °C. Open it slowly and allow the surplus of pressure to go out. Coolant must never be kept in beverage recipients. Open the cooling system only when the temperature is below 90 °C. | |
| Indications on coolant. | ||
2 | Drain partially the cooling system. | Drain up to approximately the thermostatic valves height. Collect the coolant and replace it, if necessary. | |
3 | Turn off the general switch or disconnect the battery negative cable. | ||
4 | Remove the air bleeding hose (7) from the radiator. | ||
5 | Remove the upper hose from the radiator (8). | ||
6 | Remove the restraint rod (9). | ||
7 | Remove the upper support (5) and the fastening bolts (4) from the air deflector (3) to the lower supports (6). | Install: Fasten the air deflector, in such a way that the fan blades stay centralized in the deflector with an uniform distance all around them. | |

8 | Remove the bolts (2) that fasten the fan (1) to the pulley(10). | Hold the fan to avoid damaging it due to its accidental movement. | |

9 | Remove the fan (1) together with the air deflector (3). | Put the air deflector away from the radiator's skirt and remove it, upwards, together with the fan. Put the fan in a safe place in vertical position. | |

10 | Check the condition of the hoses (7,8) and clamps. | Replace if necessary. | |
11 | Check the condition of the air deflector (3). | Replace in case of damages/deformation. | |
12 | Check the fan (1). | Dirt deposit, mainly in the front face where the bi-metal is located, can cause inadequate operation of the fan. If necessary, clean with water, paying attention not to damage the two metal blade. | |
13 | Install in the reverse order. |
