Release and disconnect electrical connector (2).

Remove contact protection (3).

Remove circuit 30 electric line (4) from starter (M1).

 Nut, connection for circuit 30

Remove bolts (5).

 Bolt, starter to major assembly carrier/crankcase

Remove starter (M1) downward.

Check pinion of the starter (M1) for wear and damage.

When reusing the starter (1).

If damage is present,



Replace starter (1).

Remove impact plate in front of poly-V-belt.

Check starter ring gear an flywheel or drive plate for wear and damage.

 To do this rotate crankshaft in direction of engine rotation.

Replace flywheel or drive plate.
