Remove/install

Detach ground line from battery

Remove center and rear lower engine compartment paneling

Detach electrical lines (4, 5) from starter (1)

 Nut, connection for terminal designation 50

 Nut, connection for terminal designation 30

Remove screw/bolts (6) and remove starter (1)

 Bolt, starter to crankcase/transmission

Turn engine at center bolt of the crankshaft and check starter ring gear on flywheel/drive plate for damage

When replacing the starter (1).

 Socket wrench bit

If damage is present



Replace flywheel/drive plate.
