2	Unscrew temperature sensor upstream of diesel particulate filter (B19/9)	 Installation: Coat thread of temperature sensor upstream of DPF (B19/9) with heat-resistant lubricant.

3	Unscrew pressure lines (1) on diesel particulate filter (4)	 Installation: Coat thread on diesel particulate filter (4) with heat-resistant lubricant.

4	Remove pressure lines (1) on bracket	 Remove bolts (2) on clamping plate.
		 Bolt for clamping plates on pressure lines	*BA14.40-P-1003-01B
5	Unscrew nuts (3) on exhaust system bracket	 Installation: Replace nuts (3)
		 Nut for diesel particulate filter on bracket	*BA14.40-P-1005-01B
6	Loosen flange connections	 Installation: Check mounting clamps; replace if necessary.
		 Hose clamp, diesel particulate filter to catalytic converter	*BA14.40-P-1006-01B
		 Hose clamp, diesel particulate filter to rear muffler	*BA14.40-P-1007-01B
7	Remove diesel particulate filter (4)	 If necessary seek help from an assistant.

8	Install in the reverse order
9	Read out fault memory and erase	 Stored faults which may be caused by assembly work, test work, removed lines or a simulation, must be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.

10.1	Perform adaptations of the CDI control unit	 Only when replacing diesel particulate filter (4).
		 On replacing diesel particulate filter (4), adjustment of the CDI control unit must take place using menu point "Adjust control units" in STAR DIAGNOSIS.

11	Inspect installation position and clearance of exhaust system	 The exhaust system must be mounted free of tension, align exhaust system if necessary.
12	Check leaktightness of exhaust system when engine is running
