3 | Detach coolant expansion reservoir from radiator and put to one side | Do not separate coolant lines. | |
4 | Remove charge air hose (8) | ||
5 | Remove noise encapsulation below the radiator. | ||
6 | Detach fan with viscous fan clutch (7) at intermediate piece | ||

7 | Swivel tensioning pulley of tensioning device (2) to the top and hold. | ||
8 | Remove alternator (6) poly-V-belt from belt pulley/vibration damper (3) and remove the belt pulley (1, 4) | On vehicles with code (H03) Air conditioning in front end, additionally on the belt pulley of the refrigerant compressor (5). | |

10 | Press fan with viscous fan clutch (7) to the front and take out poly-V-belt of generator (6) | Do not damage the poly-V-belt of the generator (6) when removing. | |

11 | Check belt pulleys and tensioning pulley for damage and smooth operation, replace if necessary | ||
12 | Inspect condition of poly-V-belt of generator (6), replace if necessary | ||

13 | Push fan with viscous fan clutch (7) to the front and alternator (6) poly-V-belt on the belt pulley/vibration damper (3) and lay on belt pulleys (1, 4) | On vehicles with code (H03) Air conditioning in front end, additionally on the belt pulley of the refrigerant compressor (5). | |

14 | Swivel tensioning pulley of tensioning device (2) to the top and hold. | ||
15 | Fit poly-V-belt of generator (6) onto the tensioning pulley of the tensioning device (2) and swivel back the tensioning device again | Ensure that the poly-V-belt of the generator (6) is seated correctly. | |
16 | Attach fan with viscous fan clutch (7) to the intermediate piece | | |
17 | Install noise encapsulation below the radiator. | ||
18 | Install charge air hose (8) | | |
19 | Attach coolant expansion tank on the radiator | ||
20 | Attach soundproofing to right side of the engine | ||
