Loosen assembly tool (01) and remove

Pry off the poly-V belts (2) by turning the belt pulley/vibration damper (4) with assembly wedge

Check

Check poly-V belts (2) for signs of damage

If complaint present



Replace poly-V belt (2).

Check belt pulley (3) for damage

If complaint present



Replace second A/C compressor.

Model 900 2nd A/C compressor, model 906.6 2nd A/C compressor

If complaint present

Replace belt pulley/vibration damper (4).

Attach assembly tool (06) at belt pulley/vibration damper (4)

 Assembly tool

Lay on poly-V belt (2), turn crankshaft at the belt pulley/vibration damper (4) in direction of engine rotation (arrow) and detach poly-V belt (2)

  Protect assembly tool (06) against falling down.

Install assembly tool (01) and install guide pulley (1)

Lower vehicle

 Danger !

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform an engine test run and check the running behavior of the poly-V belt (2)

If complaint present



Put on new poly-V belt (2).
