Remove/install

Open engine hood and raise to vertical position

Disconnect ground line of battery

Remove front section of front left fender

Remove charge air hose (1)

 Installation: Check charge air hose (1) and clamps for damage; replace if necessary.

 Clamp, charge air hose to charge air housing/charge air pipe and charge air cooler

Remove screw/bolt (5)

Disconnect electrical connections (2) at charge air preheating system heating element (R21)

Only for vehicles with code M90(Charge air preheating system, electrical).

Remove screw/bolt (3) and place engine start/engine stop button (4) with bracket to one side

 Installation: Replace cable tie.

 Bolt, charge air pipe to charge air manifold

Remove screw/bolts (6) and place holder for guide tube (7) to one side

Remove screw/bolt (9)

Remove screw/bolts (8) and remove charge air pipe (10)

 Installation: Replace seal.

 Bolt, charge air pipe to charge air manifold

Install in the reverse order

 Charge air pipe/charge air cooling
