Remove air filter housing

Loosen clamp (2)

 Installation: Check clamp (2), replace if necessary.

 Screw clamp, air intake hose to ATLScrew clamp, air intake hose to turbocharger

Detach air intake hose (1) from turbocharger and pull out until vent hose (3) is accessible

 Installation:
Do not crush sealing ring (4) between exhaust gas turbocharger (5) and air intake hose (1).
Parts of crushed sealing ring (4) damage the exhaust gas turbocharger (5).

 Installation: Position air intake hose (1) on turbocharger (5) in such a way that the markings (arrows) on air intake hose (1) and turbocharger (5) match.

Detach vent hose (3) on vent line heater element (R39/1 or R39/4)

Disconnect electrical connection from vent line heater element (R39/1 or R39/4)

 When replacing bleed line heating element (R39/1 or R39/4), first mount sealing ring (4) at air intake hose (1).
In this connection, ensure grease-free assembly of heating element and seal (4).

Remove air intake hose (1) and close off connector on turbocharger with a protective cover

 Installation: Replace compression ring (4).
