 	Remove/install
Danger!	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1	Lift vehicle on vehicle lift
2	Detach underfloor paneling in the area of the shield (4)
3	Disconnect electrical line (3) at connecting point
4	Unclip electrical line (3) at mount shield (4)
5	Unscrew union nut for temperature sensor (B16/1)	 Installation: Coat thread on union nut for temperature sensor (B16/1) with paste.

		Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DB supply specification 6879.20	*BR00.45-Z-1005-06A
6	Remove temperature sensor (B16/1) from NOx storage catalytic converter (1)
7	Install in the reverse order
8	Read out fault memory with STAR DIAGNOSIS and erase if necessary	Only when replacing	AD00.00-P-2000-04A

Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. 9	Carry out an engine test run and test exhaust system for leaks in the process
