1 | Switch off ignition | ||
2 | Remove bottom noise encapsulation | ||
3 | Detach fuel heat exchanger (7) at the EC/PLN control unit (A6) | Fuel lines remain connected at the fuel heat exchanger (7). | |
4 | Release and disconnect connector of vehicle wiring harness (5) at EC/PLN control unit (A6) | For this step push the locking element toward top (arrow) and release the connector of the vehicle wiring harness (5). | |
5 | Release and disconnect connector of engine wiring harness (6) at EC/PLN control unit (A6) | For this step swivel locking clamp toward bottom (arrow) and release the connector of the engine wiring harness (6). | |
6 | Take MR/PLD control unit (A6) off the crankcase | Installation: Observe installation position of spacers (1) and of rubber shock absorber (2). | |

7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
8 | Relearn transponder key and also replacement key | Only if the EC/PLN control unit (A6) was replaced. |
