Removing

No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Only pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove cylinder head cover

Remove injection line (12)

Remove pressure bolt (11) and remove pressure pipe connections (10)

Remove retaining clip (5)

Attach threaded insert (2) and impact extractor (3) to inside thread of nozzle holder combination (1)

Pull out nozzle holder combination (1)

 Nozzle holder combination (1) must not be disassembled.

If there is wear or another problem, replace nozzle holder combination (1).

Remove threaded insert (2) and impact extractor (3) at the nozzle holder combination (1)

Take off seal (7)

Engine with seal ring (7)

8.2

Pull off heat protection sleeve (8) from nozzle holder combination (1)

Engine with heat protection sleeve (8)

 If heat protection sleeve (8) is stuck, it must be pulled out from the cylinder head.

Install

Insert new O-ring (6) at nozzle holder combination (1)

 Coat O-ring (6) with high-temperature grease.

Place new seal (7) on nozzle holder combination (1)

Engine with seal ring (7)

 Observe installation position of seal ring (7). The small ring surface on sealing ring (7) faces towards the nozzle holder combination (1).

10.2

Press new heat protection sleeve (8) onto nozzle holder combination (1)

Engine with heat protection sleeve (8)

 Assembly tool

 Before pressing on the new heat protection sleeve (8), clean the contact surface at the nozzle holder combination (1) to remove combustion residues:



Install nozzle holder combinations (1)

 Note installation position of nozzle holder combination (1) relative to pressure pipe connection (10). Twist the nozzle holder combination (1) into the cylinder head using clamp (5) until the ball pressed into the clamp (5) is positioned at the fixing in cap (13) of the constant throttle.

Tighten down clamp (5) fully using the screw (4)



Replace new O-ring (9) at the pressure pipe connection (10)

 Coat O-ring (9) with high-temperature grease.

Install pressure pipe connection (10) and tighten down pressure screw (11)

 Up to engine end no. 319372, the ball pressed into pressure pipe connection (10) must be inserted in the groove in the cylinder head.


