| Remove | ||
1 | Remove the cylinder head cover (1). | ||
2 | Mark bearing caps (2) and camshafts (4). | ||
3 | Clamp cylinder head cover (1) in the vise. | Use protective jaws. | |
4 | Remove bearing caps (2). | To do this, remove screws/bolts (3). | |
5 | Remove camshafts (4). | ||
6 | Remove cylinder head cover (1) from the vise. | ||
7 | Remove gearwheel from the exhaust camshaft. | When replacing exhaust camshaft. | |
| Clean | ||
8 | Clean contact surfaces on the cylinder head cover (1) and on the bearing caps (2). | Take into account markings of the bearing cap (2) relative to the camshafts (4). | |
| Install | ||
9 | Attach gearwheel to the exhaust camshaft. | When replacing exhaust camshaft. | |
10 | Clamp cylinder head cover (1) in the vise. | Use protective jaws. | |
11 | Install camshafts (4). | ||
