1 | Check basic position of camshafts | ||
2 | Lock piston of chain tensioner (1) | For this purpose, press back piston by pressing tensioning rail in direction of chain tensioner (1) and lock using a suitable tool (2) as shown. | |
Installation: Remove tool (2) where chain tensioner (1) will be reused or remove delivered locking pin where chain tensioner (1) will be replaced. | |||
Once chain tensioner (1) is installed, piston in chain tensioner (1) extends due to removal of tool (2) or locking pin and tensions timing chain. | |||
3 | Remove the chain tensioner (1) | To do this, remove screws/bolts (3). | |
Bolt, chain tensioner to crankcase | |||
4 | Install in the reverse order |
