Jam nut on valve bridge adjustment screw

Clamp valve bridges (3) in a vise, slacken jam nut (1) and unscrew adjustment screw (2) by about 3 turns.

Install valve bridge (3) over the guide pins at the cylinder head.

Push valve bridge (3) downwards (against the spring force) and hold.

 The valve bridge (3) must be resting against valve stem (arrow A).
The adjustment screw (2) points towards the exhaust manifold.

Screw in adjustment screw (2) for a pressed down valve bridge (3) by hand until the adjustment screw (2) lies lightly on the valve stem (arrow B).

 The valve bridge (3) must not move up.

Tighten jam nut (1) by hand until it makes contact.

Remove valve bridge (3) from cylinder head.

Clamp valve bridges (3) in a vise, tighten adjusting bolt (2) and locknut (1) using a  torque tool set  .

Install valve bridge (3) over the guide pins at the cylinder head.
