| Remove/install | ||
1 | Remove camshafts. | ||
2 | Remove roller cam follower (3) with the associated compensating elements (1). | ||
3 | Lever off the clamps (2). | ||
4 | Detach compensating elements (1) from roller-type cam followers (3). | ||
| Check | ||
5 | Check compensating elements (1) for proper operation. | | |
It should not be possible to press the compensating elements (1) together with normal force of the hand and they should move together only very slowly when great pressure is applied. | |||
If there is a problem, | |||

replace the compensating element (1). | |||
If several compensating elements (1) are defective, | |||
| |||
Check forced oil supply of cylinder head. | |||
6 | Install in the reverse order. |
