Install/remove

Remove front right fender liner.

Turn engine at belt pulley/vibration damper (2) to top dead center (ignition TDC) of cylinder 1.

 Turn engine in direction of engine rotation only.

 The TDC marking on the belt pulley/vibration damper (2) must match the marking on the end cover (1).

Remove belt pulley/vibration damper (2).

Attach retaining lock (3) to crankshaft and tighten screw (4).

Insert locating pin (5).

 Press locating pin (5) up to end stop into the cutout on the crankcase.

 If necessary, turn engine at the retaining lock (3) in the direction of engine rotation.

Removal in the reverse order.
