1  Install dial gauge holder (2) and  dial gauge (1) with preload at crankcase.

2 Press crankshaft (3) using a suitable lever (4) to the front stop and set the scale on the  dial indicator (1) to "0".

3 Push the crankshaft (3) using a suitable lever (4) to the rear stop and read off the measured value on the  dial indicator (1) scale.

 The measured value from stop to stop gives the axial play.

4  Remove dial indicator holder (2) and  dial indicator (1) on crankcase.
