Remove

1

Remove flywheel.

If a flywheel is installed.

Press out radial shaft sealing ring (1) using pry bar (2).

 Cover crankshaft with a clean rag for protection.

 Pry bar

Clean

Clean timing case in the area of the removed radial shaft sealing ring (1) and clean flywheel flange.



Check

Check tread of the radial shaft sealing ring (1) on the flywheel flange.

If galling is present on the flywheel flange,



Replace flywheel.



Install

5

Install new radial shaft sealing ring (1) with insertion device (3).

 Install radial shaft sealing ring (1) dry on the outer surface and coated with engine oil on the inner sealing lip.

Install flywheel.
