2	Check connecting rod (1), connecting rod bearing cap (2) and connecting rod bearing shell (3) for wear	 Connecting rods (1) and connecting rod bearing caps (2) with a blue coloration, as a result of bearing damage must not be used.

3	Check inside diameter of connecting rod bush (5)	 If specified value is exceeded: 	*BE03.10-N-1011-01B
		Replace connecting rod (1).

4	Check connecting rod (1) for distortion and dimensional tolerance	 Measure distance of connecting rod bearing bore to connecting rod bush bore (A) on both sides. If the specified value is exceeded: 	*BE03.10-N-1014-01B
		Replace connecting rod (1).
		Measure the permissible deviation in axial parallelism between connecting rod bearing and connecting rod bush bore (B), relative to measurement gap (C). If the specified value is exceeded: 	*BE03.10-N-1004-01B
		Replace connecting rod (1).
5	Assemble connecting rod (1), connecting rod bearing cap (2) and connecting rod bearing shells (3) together, measure and disassemble again	 Only tighten connecting rod bearing cap (2) and connecting rod (1) with inserted connecting rod bearing shells (3) to avoid damage.	AR03.10-W-6111-06A
		 The connecting rod bearing shell (3) in the connecting rod bearing cap (2) and connecting rod (1) are different. Connecting rod bearing shells (3) are delivered in different thicknesses (thick). Observe abbreviated part number on rear face of the connecting rod bearing shells (3).
