	Check
1	Remove cylinder head.	except natural gas engine	AR01.30-G-5800DD
		with natural gas engine	AR01.30-G-5800DE
2	Check piston crown by means of visual inspection for wear and damage.
3	Check cylinder barrel for wear and damage.		AR01.40-G-0005DD
4	Remove respective piston.	Only if wear or damage was found on the piston crown or cylinder contact surface.

5	Check piston skirt and piston ring by means of a visual inspection for wear and damage.
6	Remove connecting rod and perform a visual check to check connecting rod bearing bushing (connecting rod small end) for wear and damage or twisting of the oil holes.	If score marks or notches are visible:
		
		Replace connecting rod.
		If the damage profile can no longer be assessed clearly:
		
		Check connecting rod.

7	Check connecting rod bearing and connecting rod journal by means of a visual inspection for wear and damage.	If damage or wear is visible:
		
		Remove engine and repair.
8	Install connecting rod.
9	Install piston.		AR03.10-G-7021DD

		with natural gas engine	AR01.30-G-5800DE
