When working on vehicles at ambient temperatures over 60 °C, all gas cylinders must be removed.

Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted

Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure it with the safety strut.

Remove right soundproofing on frame

Clean recesses around the spark plug pockets on the cylinder head cover (1)

Unclip lines of spark plug connectors (3) from brackets

Pull spark plug connectors (3) out of spark plug holes

 Mark assignment of spark plug connectors (3) relative to the cylinders.

 Installation: Note marking.

Remove crankcase ventilation hose (7) from cylinder head cover (1)

Remove screws (4) and remove cylinder head cover (1)

 Installation: Check seal (2) between cylinder head cover (1) and charge air manifold for damage, replace if necessary.
Replace sealing rings (5), sealing washers (4.1) and seal (6).
