Cleaning and care products for light alloy wheels and hubcaps (metal and plastic)
Mercedes-Benz light alloy wheels and plastic hubcaps have a two-layer metallic paintwork. Therefore, just like the bodywork, they may only be cleaned and cared for with Mercedes-Benz cleaning agents and care products which preserve the paint.
Under no circumstances treat light alloy wheels and wheel caps with scouring agents, acid-containing or strong alkaline agents or scouring sponge as otherwise damage can occur.
Depending on the amount of dirt clean wheels and wheel caps, weekly if possible. In the process normal dirt including brake lining abrasive dust can be removed with hand-hot water, a mild dirt solvent (as is used for the body) and a sponge. Use plenty of water.
Care product for light alloy wheels and hubcaps
The care product is suitable for regular treatment of wheels and hubcaps, even with thick dirt accumulation; however, it cannot be used to remove stubborn dirt residue. This care product has a preservative effect.
Intensive cleaner for light alloy wheels and wheel caps, metal dust remover
The cleaning agent is used to get rid of stubborn dirt that cannot be removed with the regular care product (for workshop use only). After cleaning, the surfaces must be treated with polish and gloss preserver.
