1	Read out map version using COMAND.	 Read out map version in COMAND as follows: Switch on COMAND  Select menu item "Menu"  Select menu item "Options"  Select menu item "Map version".
	Check
2	Note the map version displayed on the service sheet and compare with the map version currently available.	If the map data status is up-to-date,
		
		testing is complete; no further work steps are necessary.
		If the map data release is not up-to-date,
		
		Continue with operation step 3.
3	Check whether the customer is entitled to a map update free of charge.	Initial registration was max. 3 years ago. Only for certain markets (see Service Information bulletin).
		If the customer is entitled to a free-of-charge map update,
		
